Well, I could have tried to escape to the West, but Levski didn't let me, and my Capricorn zodiac sign enslaved me forever for my homeland
Dimo Tsochev Kisov was born in 1918 in Sofia, in a family with a Revival spirit and patriarchal traditions. Graduated from V.N.V. Tsar Boris III School - 59th grade.
In August 1944 he was seconded to Germany with a group of officers. He found him there on September 9 and he was sent to a POW camp due to his and most of the other Bulgarian officers' refusal to cooperate with the Germans or to participate in the established foreign government of Al. Tsankov. He remained in the camp until the fall of Berlin in May 1945.
He describes the inhumane conditions of existence and his experiences in the POW camp in Germany in his first short story "The Prisoner of Dam-1", published by "Bulgarian Writer", 1958, republished in 1966. Due to the patriotism radiated from the book, it has been a literary read in the army for many years.
